Feb/08 – CoreNet Global is the world's premier association for corporate real estate and related professionals. As a global learning organization, it is the industry thought and opinion leader. CoreNet Global is the only group that convenes the entire industry. Programs and services are designed to meet the business needs of members' companies and the career needs of individual members.

Bruce Lorimer, partner of Ocupantes – sponsor of CoreNet Global Brasil – is currently the Chapter’s Associate Finance CHairperson, and has a quite some history with CoreNet Global. In 1998 he became a member of the former entity IDRC (International Development Research Council) in the USA.   A few years later he and some colleagues in the local São Paulo market took on the leadership of the association to try to take it to the next level.  The efforts made gained momemtum through a partnership with the American Chamber.  In September 2004 CoreNet Global Brasil was officially set in São Paulo, Brazil, Bruce being one of the founding members.

Since then CoreNet Global has developed even further and become better structured to meet the needs of the growing number of corporate end-users becoming members.  The association prides itself of the 8 to 9 meetings it holds annually focused on the needs of corporate end-users and generating networking opportunities for all members.  See the events organized by CoreNet Global in 2007.

CoreNet Global Brasil has 36 members, among them Cisco Systems, Philips, General Motors, , ABN Amro, Siemens, Sun MicroSystems, Editora Abril (Publisher) and Escola Politecnica from São Paulo University.
