The client – The Europ Assistance Group, one of the largest firms in the world of assistance services in a large variety of segments, has as clients banks, insurers, and credit-card operators.  The company is present in 34 countries, with 275 offices, and a total of over 150 million individuals attended by their services.  With the desire to expand activities in Brazil, Europ sought partnership with a 100% local firm, in order to understand the local market.  The partnership was made with the Icatu Group, from which was born the Worldwide Assistance – Personalized Assistance Services (“WWA”).

The situation – The desire of the firm´s management was that the new 2,200 m² Brazilian office be located in São Paulo, preferably in the “ABC” municipalities, since the region offers tax incentives.  However, after a preliminary analysis it became clear that there was a lack of alternatives in the region, and they decided to seek the advice of a specialized firm to undertake corporate representation and resolve the problem with speed and efficiency.

The results obtained – Ocupantes quickly started working by immediately providing a research of the ABC region.  The result confirmed that none of the possible alternatives fully attended the client’s needs.  As such, Ocupantes suggested the Barueri region, which offers similar tax incentives.  Following approval by WWA, Ocupantes delivered complete research reports and financial analyses for the region, and short-listed the best options.  Once the preferred building was defined, the West Side Building, in Alphaville, Ocupantes began negotiations, which were finalized on very good conditions which attended the client’s expectations.

The preparation of the market reports for the “ABC” region and Barueri was fundamental to the change of focus and choice of building. The support by Ocupantes was complete, broaching technical, contractual and documental issues, permitting WWA’s management to feel at ease in their decision making.
